Interpretation of The Videos

These videos depict the temporal similarity values between Brain Regions of Interest (ROIs) and the FaceNet 352nd layer. The exhibited similarity values illustrate the level of resemblance between the brain's activity and the FaceNet model. We leverage the high temporal resolution of MEG, combined with source localization, to explore the neural dynamics involved in face recognition within the human brain.

Upon focusing on the videos, you will observe that around 170ms after the stimulus onset, there emerge distinct red clusters denoting high similarity values in occipital and intermediate brain areas. This 170ms interval aligns with the Event-Related Potential (ERP) known as the M170, a neural response associated with the brain's processing of facial stimuli. From this, we can infer a notable synchronization between ERP responses related to face perception and peaks in similarity scores.

Post-COSYNE2024

I would like to express my gratitude to the COSYNE2024 organizers for the opportunity to present my work. It was the best highlight of my master degree (so far 👀). Met a lot of amazing people and had great discussions. I also enjoyed all the talks and posters. I am looking forward to the next edition of COSYNE! Lisbon and Caiscais are beautiful places, and I hope to visit them again soon. Below some of the captured moments during the conference and my visit to Lisbon & Cascais.
